Actually, the Sahara extends all across the northern part of the African continent, so you could say Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt are the countries that border the northern portion of the Sahara. Or, you might even say the Mediterranean Sea is above the northern portion of the Sahara.
The Sahara Desert is found in the northern portions of Africa, above the equator.
Algeria and Egypt are on the upper part of the Sahara desert. France, Spain and Italy are above those countries.
