Hyper-selectionism, in the philosophy of Biology, refers to people who attribute all (or nearly all) evolutionary change to natural selection, and ignore, disregard or minimize the significance of so-called "random" sorting mechanisms such as genetic drift.
The term is usually applied as a criticism of someone else's work. Nobody refers to themselves as a hyper-selectionist.
