Self actualization is to actualize - what is my purpose of life? It's not just to live with the basic necessities like food, shelter, clothing, water, air. We all need these but one day, we will die. Self actualization is going beyond the basic hierarchy of our needs and realizing that we are not this body that will die, we are the Divine Soul. This is to actualize, to actually understand who am I. We all think we are a person with a name, a family, a religion, a nationality but that is not who we are. So self actualization is about coming to know who am I and why am I here and what my purpose of life on earth is, why I was given this birth and what will happen to me after I die. This is self actualization.
