Valtrex (valacyclovir hydrochloride) has a nominal shelf life of three years. There might be some variation among generics, but there should be no reason for it being different for the non-Glaxo products. Nominal storage requirements apply, of course, and note that just because the product might be "expired" per the date code, that doesn't mean it isn't still effective. The chemical is quite stable in its pharmaceutical form. Questions like this can be put to any competent pharmacist, and the individual will be happy to share his knowledge.
