A sleight of hand artist differs from a magician in that a magician constructs illusions using special, custom-made props (hats with a false panel, fake flower bouquet, etc...) . A sleight of hand artist, however, uses ordinary objects (book of matches, pack of sugar, a coin...), often whatever is lying around to perform tricks, using misdirection to get the audience to look in the wrong place, leaving the artist to conceal his true movements. He then produces the object in a place or state unexpected.
