Critics of communism would say that it takes away the basic human right to property. Pure communism dictates that all property belongs to the state who are holding it on behalf of 'the people'.
Very simply, the total lack of personal freedom. For example, in North Korea today, it is illegal to possess a radio. Penalty is a harsh prison term, possibly LIFE. Why ? Because the guy at the top said so. Simple as that.
