Scientists can use DNA evidence to determine whether a suspect's DNA matches the DNA at the scene of a crime. They can also test examine a person's DNA to determine that person's risk of passing on inheritable diseases to his or her children.

The Extracted DNA from a human being can be used for several resonating. DNA

extraction is a fundamental procedure in scientific laboratories around the

world and is typically the first step in many depth laboratory experiments.

By extracting DNA and studying it, scientists can learn how DNA encodes

the instructions for all life processes. DNA extraction is important to the study of heredity and to the potential treatment of diseases through the creation of

gene therapy DNA molecules. Extracted DNA can also be used to create

DNA fingerprints to help diagnose genetic diseases, solve criminal cases,

identify victims of disaster and war, and establish paternity or maternity.

Scientists can genetically engineer changes in DNA to create robust, disease resistant, genetically modified plants and animals. DNA extraction is also

necessary in order to sequence and compare the DNA code of different

organisms

DNA is genetic material explaining characteristics of an organism. Basically DNA is information on how to create a organism. If scientists are able to extract DNA (with minimal mutations occurring) it would be possible to clone an organism or create an organism with desired traits. Extraction of DNA allows for the experimental idea of growing organs for patients who require an organ donation (ever seen the pigs growing human organs on the news?). DNA extraction allows the scientists to study the genetic material. This may mean finding the gene that causes a particular disease etc. Finding out the problem in the DNA can lead to finding the cure.

Well, scientists can use extracted DNA for many uses. They can find out who was involved in a murder case, they can find out how different two different sets of DNA are, disorders, etc...

Why do scientists extract DNA?

Scientists might extract DNA for many reasons. In a homicide case, or a case in which an unidentified body has been found, scientists extract DNA from the bones (if only bones are found) to identify Null. To check for birth defects in humans or animals. *In an unidentified creature, scientists will want to check all deails *etc.

In teeth do forensic scientists collect DNA from the mitochondria or the nucleus?

Any of the pulpy matter can be used to extract DNA. Not so with the enamel.

Why we can not extract DNA from RBCs?

We can not extract DNA from RBCs as they are without nucleus. only the source of DNA extraction is Leukocytes, RBCs are not good source of extraction but we can extract DNA from immature RBCs.

Describe how DNA evidence might be used to confirm scientists' conclusions about any relationship between birds and seals?

DNA evidence might be used to confirm scientists' conclusions about any relationships between any animal and how closely related they are.

How is anything genetically modified?

Scientists have the means to extract the DNA strand from a cell. Once the DNA strand is removed, it can be altered, then placed back into the cell. When the cell divides and multiplies - the new copies will retail the altered DNA rather than having the original.

Why do scientists have to have a female mosquitoes to clone a dinosaur?

Scientists believe they can extract dinosaur DNA from a fossilised female mosquito,in an attempt to clone a dinosaur.A female mosquito is being used because, only the female feeds on blood.

Why do scientists use the white blood cell when extracting DNA in gentic screening?

White blood cells (unlike red blood cells) have nuclei containing genetic material. Since DNA is present within the white blood cells and since blood is easy to obtain from the body, scientists use white blood cells to extract DNA

How do scientists manipulate DNA?

Scientists manipulate DNA by splitting apart the DNA into segments via gel electrocophesis. Then, they can manipulate the DNA as they please.
