It depends on the model. low end models have 6 inch rims & skinny tires- upgraded models usually have 7 or possibly even 8 inch rims with wider/taller tires. the top end models (Sahara) have the wider rims & and can fit a 31 inch tire under the fenders without suspension mods, but you might get a little rubbing in extreme wheeling.
I've got a 97 base 4cyl stick, its got 15x7's. In fact, in 97, I'm pretty positive that of the two wheel styles I've seen of that year, both are 15x7's. In 2000 they added a 15x8 and in 03 i do believe they added a 16x8. I think the 6in rims the above person is talking about are those old steel wheels, but I've never noticed them on a tj stock. At any rate, it depends on your wheels, but you can be pretty sure its a 15x7.
The stock size wheel for the Jeep Rubicons are a 16" wheel.
