A superlative adjective is an adjective we use to compare three or more things to pick out one thing that is more ''something" than the others.

eg adjective tall - Martin is the tallest in the class.

For longer adjectives (more than one syllable) we use most.

eg adjective famous - Martin is the most famous in our family.

A superlative is a form of an adjective or adverb used to compare three or more things, expressing the highest degree of a quality. It is often identified by the endings "-est" or by including "most" before the adjective or adverb. For example, in the sentence "Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world," "tallest" is the superlative form of the adjective "tall."
