Kansha Shimasu.
That depends on the traditions or the school. In my school, we say the Japanese phrase Onegai Shimasu (oh nay gosh ee mas). It means 'Please' and is a multipurpose word used to show respect and ask for help at the same time.
"I love you"
'Yoroshiku' is a grammatical form of 'yoroshii', which is polite form of 'good, pleasant, all right, acceptable, etc'. 'Onegai shimasu' is polite way of saying 'I ask of you, I request that you..., etc', mostly translated to 'please' in English. Putting the literal meanings together you can translate 'yoroshiku onegaishimasu' to something like 'please treat me well'.

You'd be amazed who ends up with this research product. Okay after 4 I left to drink and then returned so it's a little ummmm, well you decide how useful it could be. :-) By the way it really, really helps if you learn how to pronounce the vowels, Japanese people are not used to hearing foreigners speak Japanese so their listening skills are pretty poor. Get those vowels right and the rest (for the basic day to day stuff anyway) is easy.
