I used the words to get the definitions of each word puzzling it together i think it puts together a carbon semi metallic alloy material that is in a brittle form of crystalline combined with other metals.

What? XD

I'm guessing you are saying "brittle form of crystalline" because when you Googled "terillium" you got the result for tellurium. But two things to think about there. First, the spelling and pronunciation is different.

So Buzz might be talking about a completely different element that we don't know about. And perhaps that element isn't "brittle" at all.

Second, it is possible for a "brittle" metal to become strong when mixed with another. I think it would be safe to assume that standard Space Ranger gear is not "brittle".

An alloy is just a metal made out of two other metals, usually to make the metal stronger. So, saying, "terillium-carbonic alloy", would imply that his wings are made of a metal created by combining terillium and carbon.

However, carbon is a non-metal and "terillium" is not an actual known element (tellurium or Te is, but not terillium). So, we could make assumptions and say that his wings are made up of a "terillium" and carbon mix.

We can also assume:

  • Terillium is either completely fictional, or is meant to be tellurium
  • Either the mix contains another metal not named and is an actual alloy with added carbon (non-metal), or it is really a mix of only tellurium and carbon in which case it is not a true alloy
  • I would also say that since his wing suite seems to be standard Space Ranger built (based on Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon), we can assume this choice of metal is light weight and strong and that is why it has become the choice of metal for all Space Ranger wing suites

But in the end, a terillium-carbonic alloy is a completely fictional metal that is only meant to sound futuristic in the cartoon. Much like when Buzz says, "Do you people still use fossil fuels, or have you discovered crystallic fusion?"

It really doesn't exist...it's something screenwriters made up when they were writing Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story.

It's used to make wings for falling with style.

It is a type of plastic mostly used for fun stuff.

I actually just made this up.
