Text data is just words type into cells. On any spreadsheet you will have lots of numbers. In order to know what the numbers actually mean, you'll have lots of headings in cells. So you could have a cell with the heading "Total" beside a total of some set of figures. Maybe the months of the year or days of the week, or the names of products you are selling are needed. You could have a list of names of people or places in a spreadsheet. So while there is mostly numbers in spreadsheets, there is also lots of text data too.
