There is no Chevy 4.3 V8. The 4.3 is a V6 followed by a 4.8 V8

On a 1994 Chevy C1500 5.0 V8 it is the top valve with a black cover next to the coolant resivoir
depends on the v8 and the transmission really, but it is not a good idea. v6 tranny was not meant for the torque and horsepower of a v8.
Most had the LT1 350 V8, although if it was strictly a city cruiser, the standard 4.3L V8 could also be had

The 350 cubic inch (5.7 liter) pickup engine was factory-rated at 200 horsepower in 1994.
All V8 engines have the same firing order. 1,3,5,7 is the left bank, 2,4,6,8 is the right bank and the distributor rotates clockwise. 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2
If it's an LT1, it's rated at 260HP.
It is in the exhaust pipe up by the engine exhaust manifolds.
