I have an 05 silverado 1500 and the temp sensor is on the driver side head in front of the exhast manifold.
Between #3 and #5 spark plug on the drivers side.
coolant temp sensor,does just what it says,it relays your coolant temp to gauges!
It is on the drivers side head between the back two spark plugs.
On driver side of block by the bolt in exhaust manifold closest to front of vehicle
thermostat is sticking. it'll eventually get stuck so its best to change it now.
