Call the telephone company.
There are not 5 ranks. There are 3. Alpha Male and Alpha Female Who have 90% of all the pups. Betas who protect the pups which in a pack there are about 2-4 in a pack. Then the omega who are treated horribly and then usually become lone wolves because of it.
Here is the order Alpha pair, Beta pair, subordnets, pups, and Omegas....... so to put it my way its subordnets :)
Omega wolves are the lowest rank in the pack but because they have it, it doesn't mean they have an unhappy life. An omega wolf is treated equally in the pack except when the time to eat comes around the omega wolf is the last one to eat. The omega wolf's role is also to keep peace in the pack by starting play. The omega wolf doesn't take orders around by other wolves but they do submit to them.
The Beta: They are the second rank in the wolf pack, who help the Alpha in making decisions and will assume the role of the Alpha if they were to step down or leave.
18 years old to breed and 14 to have his or her rank in the pack breed means mate
A wolf gets its rank by working its way to dominance, by being stronger than those around it of similar rank. The alphas then notice this and they become higher in rank. It is not uncommon for those of low rank to become future alphas, if they have the strength to overthrow their leader.
the alpha female is the highest rank in a pack and her mate she chooses is alpha male
wolf pack order goes ,alfa#1 ,alfa#2,1 or 2beta,a few gemma, last oemgaThe Beta: They are the second rank in the wolf pack, who help the Alpha in making decisions and will assume the role of the Alpha if they were to step down or leave.

5 star general
The leader of a wolf pack is often the Alpha Female. She leads the hunts, and her mate, the Alpha Male, is second in command. The strongest wolves are the Betas; they protect the pack. Omegas, are in fact highly respected and are the third highest rank, they specialize in calming hostility.
A lion is a member of the pride, a wolf is a member of the pack.
