The B major chord. Technically that one has B-natural and D-sharp, while
a C-flat major-third is C-flat and E-flat. And the C-flat major key signature has all seven notes flatted.
If you know where A is then A flat is one fret down the neck.
If you don't where A is the A is played on the E string ( fattest string) on the 5th fret usually the 5th fret has a dot.
The A flat is back one fret ie the 4th fret E string ( fattest string)

So instead he tuned the A Sharp to 440. As a result the A was tuned to A flat. Eventually, I replaced the strings and another tuner pulled the strings up so that the A was 440. He did it gradually.
