The Airbus, like all modern aircraft, is made of a great many materials. Aluminium is possibly the greatest, but with steel, titanium, copper, many plastics and rubber all being parts of the components. An aircraft is a very complex machine and has literally millions of pieces.
im so interested to answer this question......
If you are telling about the flying range then an airplane can fly from 9000 feet to a world record of 85,000 feet. If its the range of aircrafts then it can range from a Cessna(the smallest) to Airbus(the largest). If its about the type of aircrafts it can ange from a propeller powered monoplane to rocket powered X-43A.
Obvoiusly a superpower whether it be the USA, China, Russia, Japan etc MUST have an industrial base and that is what worries me about the United States. Our country has lost in almost every industry group there is and we have turned into a "service" economy. This will not work for a superpower. The US does lead the world in a few industries. Weapons technology, aerospace and medical sciences are still led by the US. Computer technology, which is the latest American loss is actually a tie with India, China, Japan and other Asian nations. I lost my career in the Airline industry so I have an avid interest in commercial aviation. The US is seriously challenged by the Europeans (EADS/Airbus) and there are a few other nations that are leaders in commercial aircraft (Canada- Bombairdier/ Brazil- Embraear/ China- CANC and Japan- Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) The US company Boeing is the worlds #2 commercial aircraft maker after losing to Airbus last year. Like Airbus, Boeing contracts worldwide for subsystems for it's aircraft but still is an American company and American technology ruled. Airbus uses a lot of American systems. The military aerospace area is dominated by the United States along with weapons platforms other than airborne and we cannot lose in this field.
There are all kinds of aircraft and therefore many sizes. The first aircraft I flew in was a DeHavilland Chipmunk, a little less than 3 feet wide in the fuselage, with a wingspan of 34 feet. Today's largest airliner, the Airbus A380 has a fuselage almost 24 feet wide and a wingspan of 261 feet.

Airbus manufacturers the range of Airbus A3xx airliners.
The Airbus A 380 was made by airbus to compete with the Boeing 747

No, it is made by Airbus in Europe (though lots of parts are manufactured in the US).

well I think that it was founded in sometime between 1969 and 1972. The first airbus airline was made in 1972 (airbus a300)
The Airbus A319 entered service with Swiss Air in April 1996.
The first Airbus aircraft flew in 1972. They are still making aircraft today (Mid-2013).
It was made to carry large numbers of passengers.
