first of all, when you say average kw you are referring to energy consumption in an hour or kwh/hr. if you use 1 kw in 10 hours, your consumption is 10kwh. In a 30 day month, that is 10 x 30=300 kWh. In a small business, it will vary depending on the appliances and lighting you are using. However to get an approximation you have to total all the kw of the electrical appliances plus the load factor to determine the average kw.. Proceed with the above by multiplying it with the no. of hours used/day x no. of days you are using it in a month..
