Berlin has figured in so many wars, battles and skirmishes as late as the sixties they were blasting away at pillboxes on the Berlin Wall. I can remember as a kid hearing newcasts about this ( UN troops destroyed an East German pillbox- these were semi-fixed gun emplacements- not mines or something to fatally step on. Maybe they used this term as Turrets are associated with Tanks. I am not aware of any purposely-called Berlin bomber. There was no Berlin campaign in World War I, as Germany surrendered in November II ( now Veterans" day- in the dining car in the forest.. by contrast the Civil War ended- in a very appropriate place- a Court House at Appomattox, Va. Make peace in a lunchwagon- or come into court.
