The SRR is a relatively new regiment set up by the british army special forces headquarters specifically made to carry out reconnaissance at home and abroad. Little is known about this newly formed regiment. It is open to both male and female operatives. it is not part of either the SAS or SBS, but a whole new regiment in its own right. Many of its tasks will involve mainly military inteligence gathering, usually of a very important nature. this will be done in various ways, including using deep cover techniques, possibly for months at a time.

There are three SAS forces on the planet (Note SAS is different from Special Forces). The British, Australian and New Zealand SAS's. The British SAS is thought to be widely the best special forces in the world, although the Australian SAS has beaten the British on numerous training exercises. And the NZ's is not that incredible, just a small country's ordinary special forces unit.
