The national animal of the Czech Republic is the double tailed lion. It's not a real animal nor is it a mythical creature. It was a heraldic symbol used on the coat of arms of Bohemia and the Czech Republic adopted it as it's national animal. Some countries will adopt non-existent creatures for national symbolism, such as China which adopted the dragon as well as two real animals, the crane and the panda.

Actually the national animal of Czech Republic is falcon. It's impossible to find it online, but that's the official animal and what we're taught at school.
