1) Vitamin A deficiency - add liver, green vegies & fish to your turtles' diet. 2) Ammonia burns - poor water maintenance can let the ammonia level build up. If your turtle has swollen feet, or any feet at all, there is a good chance it is a tortoise. Tortoises live on land and have feet; turtles live in the water and have flippers.
Not all turtles sleep with their eyes closed. My yellow slider sleeps with its eyes closed but my Map turtle sleeps with them open so it depends on the turtle.

i have a female turtle and it does not have red eyes. it has light green eyes and black stripes. i dont know about the rest of the turtles since mine is a red-eared slider.

Most turtles found in freshwater ponds that are yellow and green are called red eared sliders. In their younger years they have yellow in them but as they age they begin to lose their color. The red eared slider has a red streak behind its eyes as well...It could also be a yellow eared slider as well which doesn't have the red streaks behind the eyes, instead yellow.
No because all turtles eyes are the same unless it is albino but if it is albino it had red eyes all species of turtles have the same eyes
Bloodshot eyes are eyes with noticeable blood pigments and swollen blood vessels. You generally get bloodshot eyes from lack of sleep.
