A list of valid functions, names, and text strings that match the letters or trigger that you have begun to type. So if you type the equals sign and then a letter, functions that start with that letter or defined names that begin with it will be listed. As you continue to type more letters, that list will shorten down, maintaining the ones that still match what you have typed so far.
Click on the fx button and you can then choose the different categories of functions. Amongst those will be the statistical ones. If you choose them you will be able to see a list of the statistical functions.

The Insert Function dialog box contains a list of predefined functions available in Excel. Click the Insert Function box, and in the search bar, type in a description of what you want to do. Click OK, and then browse through the functions. If you already know the name of a function, choose it from the box.

If you want to sort a spreadsheet, choose the column/line or just a part of it, then pick Data, choose Sort and pick either ascending or descending.
