no you can't drink while operating a boat in oregon. but can you drink while anchored or tied up to a dock for a extended time?
That depends on where you start & where you intend to arrive. Also the time of year. Also the size of boat. Motor or sail? Intending to move 24/7 or stop to rest?
You would need to know how fast it is going to determine the force that the 50 hp motor is pushing the boat. Energy = Force X Distance. Divide both sides by time: Energy/time = Force X Distance/Time = Force X Speed, and Energy/Time = Power, so Power = Force X Speed, and Force would equal Power/Speed.
they measure time on a boat with a chronometer
That's almost impossible to answer as it is dependent on whether it's a sailboat or motor boat (and what power if the latter). Also the weather at the time and last but not least the seamanship ability of the crew. - We need more facts for even a basic answer.
I once had a 6hp motor on a 10ft aluminum boat. It worked well with one man aboard, but had a hard time planing with two people in it. I would say on a lightweight boat of 8ft or less, it should work alright. You won"t be a speed demon, but it should work for a one man rig.
If it doesn't speed up, then you can't say that is becomes accelerated. Accelerated means that the speed changes. If the motor is pushing all the time, and the boat maintains its speed, then that means that there is a force of equal magnitude pulling backwards. This would be the friction with the boat, against the water.
The best time to buy a boat is in the winter.
No never keep it locked the lock is for revers only if u run it locked an hit a stump or something ur looking at damiging the boat or motor
