On a 1985 Isuzu 4-cylinder Trooper, freeze plugs are typically located on the engine block, usually on the sides and rear of the engine. They are designed to prevent damage from freezing coolant by allowing it to expand if it freezes. You may need to remove some components, like the intake manifold, to access the rear plugs. Always consult a repair manual for precise locations and guidance on replacement.
The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve on a 1985 Isuzu Trooper is typically located on the engine intake manifold, near the back of the engine. It connects to the exhaust manifold via a metal pipe. To access it, you may need to remove some components such as the air intake or other hoses for better visibility and reach. Always refer to a repair manual for specific details related to your vehicle's configuration.
To add transmission fluid to a 1985 Isuzu Trooper 4x4, locate the transmission dipstick tube, which is typically found near the back of the engine bay. Remove the dipstick, and using a funnel, pour the recommended type of transmission fluid into the tube. Be sure to check the fluid level with the dipstick after adding fluid to ensure it is at the correct level. Always consult the owner’s manual for specific fluid type and capacity.
yes, it will burn tranny up. if its not all wheel drive why can't you tow it from the rear
I have an Isuzu Trooper II 1985 and when the heater fan stopped working it was because the alternator was going out. I found that out a few months and a few dollars later, unfortunately.
Yes. You would need to leave both the transmission and the transfer case in neutral, and leave the hubs unlocked if you have manual locking hubs.

On a 1985 Chevy Celebrity the mass air flow sensor relay is located on the strut tower on the drivers side of the car. It is behind a cover. The fuse for the mass air flow sensor is also there with the relay.
just been there with my 89'. you have to take the sensor box off of the top of the steering wheel, via 4 bolts that use the hex keys. they after there you can remove the cable from the back of the speed sensor and work it through your fire wall through the engine compartment, depending on what type of engine you have, my 2.8L v6 it connected to the transmission when looking from the front of the truck, was at the front left of the tranny. very easy to replace/break, so have fun :) CrazyAZIN
It will be on the driver side head, between the first two spark plugs.
