The NGC 253 galaxy (also known as the Sculptor Galaxy) is a spiral galaxy 10 million light-years from Earth (redshift of 0.0008) in the Sculptor constellation, and is 90,000 light-years in diameter (almost the same size as the Milky Way), and contains about 100 billion stars (same number of stars as the Milky Way). It emitted its light 10 million years ago, when the universe was nearly 14,000 million years old.
