3 quarts per axle
you just keep filling it to it starts to run out of the fill hole. I know on my 1990 model you have to crack the seal on the rear end cover to drain it. then just tighten the cover back and squeeze oil through the bolt on the top.
Bout 2 qts.
21/4 pints and do Not forget the additive if it is limited slip.
With a 3.73 axle ratio and heavy duty oil & transmission coolers, the Towing Capacity is 6,500 lbs in the 4WD model.
remove rear cover from differential, find 1/4 inch bolt in the third member that holds the 1 inch diameter pin between the axles. Remove the bolt and the pin, push the axle that you want to remove in towards the differential and remove the C-clip that keeps the axle in the differential. Pull the axle, using a bearing puller remove the oil seal and the bearing. Replace the bearing and the oil seal, make sure it is installed in the right direction or it will leak. install the axle, C-clip, pin, bolt, rear cover, and differential oil.
4.5 pints (72 oz) for the corporate 12 bolt.
It will take just under (3) quarts/liters of 75/90 gear oil. I highly recommend using full synthetic gear oil (mobil 1). Also, you do not have to take the rear axle cover off , as ther is a drain bolt that is flush on the bottom of the axle The answer below is also correct I don't know the capacity, but I know how to tell if it is full. Normally you add gear lube until it runs out the hole used to fill it. As soon as some starts to come out stop adding lube and insert the plug.
1.5 liters ( 3.25 pints ) for the 7.5 axle , according to the Owner Guide
