What is the P conversion for a 8.75 R16.5 tire. I have a 1981 Chevy Itasca motorhome. Would a P225 R16 tire work if I bought a set of 4?

No . If you want to run 16" tires you need 16" rims the 16.5 is a 1/2" bigger but you can buy your 225/75/r16 in a 8 or 10 ply and buy the 16" rims which i recomend since it is getting harder and harder to find 16.5's
