A belching snore of 2 seconds is the call of the River Frog (Rana heckscheri, Lithobates heckscheri).
Specifically, the voice of the River Frog is similar to that of the Gopher Frog (Rana capito, Lithobates capito). But it is less drawn out and faster. The call is supposed to be heard between April and August, but in fact rarely is heard. The River Frog therefore is one of the United States of America's least known frogs.
Louisville River Frogs was created in 1995.
Louisville River Frogs ended in 1998.
