The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB): (Federal'naya sluzhba bezopasnosti Rossiyskoy Federatsii) is the main domestic security agency of the Russian Federation and the main successor agency of the Soviet Committee of State Security (KGB). Its main responsibilities are counter-intelligence, internal and border security, counter-terrorism, and surveillance. Its headquarters are on Lubyanka Square, downtown Moscow.

The direct predecessor of the FSB was the Federal Counterintelligence Service (FSK). On 12 April 1995, President Boris Yeltsin signed a law ordering a reorganisation of the FSK, which resulted in the creation of the FSB.

In 2003, the FSB's responsibilities were widened with the integration of the Border Guard Service and a major part of the abolished Federal Agency of Government Communication and Information (FAPSI). The FSB was made subordinate to the Ministry of Justice by presidential decree on 9 March 2004. The Director of FSB, since 2008, is Aleksandr Bortnikov.

According to the federal law, the FSB is considered a military service just like the Armed Forces, MVD Internal Troops, FSO, SVR, FSKN and EMERCOM's civil defence.

No, Because it's designed for a lower fsb (specifically, it's designed for a different fsb)

Are there processors with 1 GHz FSB?

Plenty of older processors have had 1GHz FSB. Intel Celeron is one of them.

What is the controversy in Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2?

A misson called 'No Russian'. The mission takes place at Zakhaev International Airport in Moscow, Russia. You play as an undercover CIA agent named Joseph Allen disguised as a Russian terrorist called Alexei Borodin. You, a Russian terrorist called Vladimir Makarov and some other terrorists called Kiril, Viktor and Lev enter the airport and fire on innocent civilians, although the player doesn't have to fire. This is the main controversy. The rest is fighting against Russian FSB soldiers with riot shields. After defeating the FSB, Makarov finds out you are a set up and executes you before escaping.

How is CPU speed calculated?

CPU speed is calculated off of the Front Side Bus (FSB) speed and the CPU Multiplier. Don't confuse HyperTransport (HT) or Quad Data Rate (QDR, aka Quad Pumping) with FSB. HyperTransport and QDR have "replaced" FSB, but they too rely on the FSB. FSB was formerly used as a transport medium for data between the processor, memory and northbridge chipset and is now used more just as a reference clock frequency. FSB * Multiplier = CPU Speed For example, my Sempron 3400+ runs at 2.0 GHz with an 800MHz HyperTransport bus. It runs on a 200 MHz FSB bus and has a multiplier of 10. The HyperTransport multiplier is 4. 200 MHz FSB * 10x Multiplier = 2,000 MHz CPU 200 MHz FSB * 8x HT Multiplier = 800 MHz HyperTransport bus
