I happen to be in this religion. We are Christians. We are a holiness church and we believe in the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Ghost). Our day of worship is on Saturday hence "7th Day" and when abide by the law of the Ten Commandments hence "Commandment Keepers". We believe that he rose on the 7th day, Saturday, and not Sunday. The commandments also stated that "God blessed the Sabbath Day (meaning 7th day) and hollowed it." and in the creation of the earth God rested on the 7th day, so that's why we worship on Saturday. We also go by the dietary law which is also in The Bible(Deuteronomy). We don't eat certain foods such as pork and fish w/o fins and scales. Other Churches outside of mine with the same beliefs may approach some things differently but we usually are all the same. There isn't many of us but we are a powerful church who loves God!

My church's name is Bible Way which is located in different locations(10) throughout the western part of North Carolina and one located in the eastern part (Goldsboro, NC; my location Bible Way #2). Our Headquarters church is located in Statesville, NC. We also fellowship with other churches such as Lily's Chapel and Ram in the Bush. We have family from Florida to NY and we welcome anyone with no judgement but with Love.

I hope this helped!

The Seventh-day Adventist church believes in the entire Bible. "Seventh-day" in the word refers to the 4th commandment in Exodus 20 "remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy......" "Adventist" in their name refers to believing in the literal, visible-to-all second coming of our Lord and Savior. No. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the 'Mormon' church) has never advocated a lifetime of celibacy. Members of the church who are not legally married are advised to abstain from sexual relationships, but married couples are encouraged to use intimate relations as a way to strengthen their relationship and produce children.

Is Jane Fonda a Seventh-day Adventist?

As for Jane Fonda, Ask her; I doubt that she could ever be a true Seventh Day Adventist because the Adventist Church believes in honoring God and protecting fellow human beings; she betrayed our soldiers and they paid a high price; only one survived the tortures! There are great things that are sought from the Seventh Day Adventist from many people who are not of the church; such as the fact that the church places high priority in education; and healthful living, i.e. no smoking, no getting drunk, places high priority in the teachings of the Bible and of course, which is included in the Bible: The Ten Commandments!Jane Fonda might like some of the teachings of the Bible, and she may like some of the teachings of other church and that does not make her a Seventh Day Adventist.Maybe and hopefully she may have repented; but she has to answer to God.God Bless America,an American

What is the seventh day church like?

The Adventist church is a dynamic group of believers that believes that the Bible is the only standard of faith, that Christ is coming soon, and that the Holy Spirit will be poured out soon on the true believers. They also emphasize holistic living and helping others. They believe that Christ, and Christ only, can be a substitute for them as sinners.

What is about these people who call themselves Seventh-day Adventists and go on to church on Saturday?

The Adventist church (Seventh-day Adventist Church) or "SDA" church was started in early 1800's during a reform movement of people from several Protestant churches. We became a formal church about 1865. The Adventist church has no official creed, but instead has a group of basic beliefs which can be changed or added to (at official church meetings) based on new light. Some of those basic beliefs are: we hold the Holy Bible as the word of God as expressed through the writings of His messengers. Our goal is to tell the Good news of the Gospel of Christ to the world before he returns. The Judgement is now underway, and when complete Christ will return. Before the wicked are cast into the fire they will be shown their lives and why they cannot enter the holy city. "Adventist" refers to the second "advent" of Christ, the soon coming return of Christ A literal visible return and taking of the saints to heaven, including the resurrection of the righteous dead at that time and their joining with the saints and Christ in heaven. The wicked will die at his coming and they will not rise again until the end of the 1000 years when "Hell and Death will be cast into the lake of fire to be consumed." Sin and sinners will never again return they will be like "ashes under our feet" . "Seventh-day" refers to keeping the Sabbath Holy, "Saturday - is the seventh day" as kept by Jesus and his disciples and still kept by other Sabbath keepers today, including, among others, Seventh Day Baptists, Church of God Seventh Day, and practicing Jews. We were introduced to the seventh-day Sabbath by a Seventh Day Baptist, Rachel Oakes. In many ways our faith is similar to that of Baptists and Methodists. Our early leaders were mainly Methodist. New light about the soon coming of Christ (thought to be in 1844) and in believers cleansing our lives from all sin brought reforms in clean living, healthful dress and diet as well as a renewed importance in keeping all the 10 Commandments, as given by God from the mount. A strong reform regarding Righteousness by Faith started in 1888, was renewed in 1988, and still continues today.
