depending on the position or placement of the ROW. In AL. the high voltage wire coming off the main line and going to the transformer can vary a bit depending on what the main wire voltage might be at said place. To put it another way there are 2 answers 18' and 25'. This does not include the regular utility ROW that parallels the road. Be sure to call the power company to find out if you own a row. You can fence it in as long as they have access ,like a gate and written permission to use it. It cannot be built on or leave parked car or heaps of any kind. But cattle can graze on it if the row is part of your property and not your nieghbors. Agian best thing is call the utility co. if they won't help, go to court house and look it up. Still no answers, hire a cheap land lawyer. This kind of thing is "land rights 101" to them. I'm trying to find out a similar question my self. Hope I could help
