It is not easy to answer that specific question because statistics (nationally/globally) are not available to me - that is, if they exist. However, the number of psychotherapeutic clinicians (including psychologists, psychiatrists, psychological counsellors and the like) who experience the suicide of their client, during or after the conclusion of therapy, has been researched. Although the precise frequency of this tragic and traumatic event is difficult to quantify, estimates of clinicians who reported this experience to researchers have ranged from 22% (Kahne, 1968) to 82% (Cryan et al., 1995).
My doctoral thesis (2010) investigated this phenomenon in relation to how a clinician's identity is influenced by client suicide. I invite further questions on this topic from readers.

There is no reliable data to suggest that any specific religion has the highest percentage of suicides over the past 50 years. Suicide rates are influenced by a variety of factors such as mental health, socio-economic status, and cultural norms, rather than just religious affiliation. It's important to approach this issue with sensitivity and consider the complex factors that contribute to suicide.
