Trakehner is a breed developed in East Prussia in the early 1700's. Considered a lightweight warmblood, the breed was influenced by the Arabian and Thouroghbred. More refined than many of the Warmblood breeds, it tends to be a breed with a little 'fire', and excells at many different sports, such as three day eventing, and hunters/jumpers.
It's a real breed.
