What is the Twin Towers storyline?

On September 11th, 2001, rookie cop Will Jimeno (Conner Lyons) and sergeant John McLoughlin (Michael Benson) do their job at the Port Authority Bus Terminal's front facade and see this shadow in the shape of a plane overhead in between 42nd Street and 8th Avenue on a brown building. In the station at Times Square, they hear CNN say that a plane crashed into the North Tower at the World Trade Center. As they take a bus to Ground Zero to assist in an attempt to evacuate people from the undamaged South Tower, they are told that another plane crashed into the South Tower. At Ground Zero, they see jumpers coming from both buildings and head into building 5, where Jimeno drops off the equipment to the officers and they then head into the WTC's concourse. Christopher Amoroso (Jake Gyllenhaal) says Israel is gone. Once they head for the North Tower in the concourse, they hear a loud explosion in the South Tower. Once the South Tower begins to collapse, Jimeno proceeds to yell ''Oh my God'' and McLoughlin proceeds to yell ''Run, the elevators now''. As they run for the elevator lobby, Christopher Amoroso and Antonio Rodrigues (Ben Oliver) do not make it and die in the collapse while Jimeno, McLoughlin, and Dominick Pezzulo (Kyle Makentyre) become trapped under the concourse when the rubble dashes up the elevator. Pezzulo manages to make his way out of the tower's wreckage and moves to Jimeno, who can't move with McLoughlin. While freeing Jimeno, the North Tower begins to give way and Pezzulo comes into a hole. In a gun shooting in a gap, Pezzulo passes away. After hours under the rubble, Jimeno strains a metal bar above his body and calls for help with McLoughlin. A couple of Marines named Dave Karnes (Ryan Szyska) and Jason Thomas (Robert McKean) hear their cries for help, and find them to dig them out of the wreckage of the Twin Towers.
