if its brand new the compressor, place a third of what i believe is a 6oz bottle of peg oil,if already on system empty complete system out while ac system is running on high,i mean everything-if you don't have the equipment to pull all the freon into a vacuum,it is illegal 2 release it into the air with a pen or small screw driver through the valves-I didnt tell you that, cause its illegal ok,and it destroys the ozone layer and can be harmful if you inhale large amounts-even though they only hold a few pounds of it or three of your 8oz cans.place oil in system first-which would be a 2oz can if your ac unit is not brand new(if it is new the peg oil takes the place of this can of oil),then once in begin adding cans of freon as you check the gage till your in the center of the blue line on your gage-best way to do it-when you begin 2 add oil make sure the ac is on high and at some point the clutch should kick out on the front of the ac compressor-if not begin adding only one can of freon-if clutck on front doesnt kick out then seek a profesional compressor or clutch could be damaged. (do not go over the blue line if you do there is a chance you can blow up your ac lines or even explode a can in your hands)that stuff gets in your eyes your in trouble-make sure your ac replacement lines have a gage overfilling can also give you hot air in the car.if your that person who tends 2 SCREW THINGS UP and NOT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS DONT DO THIS.fredshow_74 strikes again
