Advantages:
Inserting checkpoints into your test lets you search for a specific value of a
page, object, or text string, which helps you determine whether your
application is functioning correctly.
Dis Advantages:
Screen resolution is very important. sometimes these checkpoints will also check the system configuration. When you record the checkpoint, that may work in one machine and may not work in another machine and the entire script will fail. One more important thing is that we will not be able to know on what property the checkpoint holds until the execution of the script.
