You have a Baikal Model IJ-18 that was imported from the Soviet Union. If it has a 26 inch barrel it has no choke, a 28 inch barrel has a modified choke, and the 30 inch has a full choke. It is worth about $100 in excellent shape.
The IJ-27-E was first imported to the US by none other than Control Data Corporation around 1976. They traded computer technology for a warehouse full of Baikal shotguns. (Maybe that's why they went out of business. My that's why the Soviet Union collapsed. No....refusing to see that PC's would catch on was the downfall.) If you can track down Norb Berg, (former Sr. CDC Exec.), or Bud Grant, (former Viking football head coach), you may be able to learn more. By the way.....my IJ-27-E still performs flawlessly after 30 years of use.
