The Stevens model number 70 Visible repeater was made from 1912-1931.
It can not be any older than 1907
From the information I can find, if it was made before 1968, it probably doesn't have a serial number. In most cases, the serial number on a gun is pretty well out in the open and visable, usually on the receiver.

13.3 repeater, a repeater is simply the number you have and over the first decimal place you put a dot, this means that say the number is 2/3 or 66.6666666 in this case you put the repeater over the first decimal place!!!
Try: It may be stamped in the wood inside the forarm. You have to pull it free from the barrels to see it. I have J Stevens Dbl Barrel and this is where I finally found it.
