I can say that the Savage model 720 shotgun was made from 1930-1949.With the serial number provided,I would think that it was made sometime in the 1930,s with that low of a serial number.
The location for a Savage 410 Model 940C shotgun serial number is on the bottom of the gun butt. Make sure you Flip the safety lever to the on position to prevent accidents.
