The back bone is made up of Deoxyribose sugar and a Phosphate group. The centre is made up of 1 of 4 bases, thymine, adenine, guanine and cytosine. DNA is made up of two helixes joined by hydrogen bonds. Adenine always pairs with thymine, bonded via 2 hydrogen bonds. Cytosine always pairs with guanine bonded via 3 hydrogen bonds. The whole helix coils around proteins known as histone proteins.

When DNA is coiled and folded and twisted into short condensed strands?

When DNA is twisted it is called a double helix and when DNA is coiled folded and twisted into short consended strands it is called alpha halix

What does a double helix comprised of?

double helix are made up of some monomeric compound like, nitrogenous compound of purine and pyrimidine, sugar and phosphate in case of DNA. In case of Protein alpha helix, which is also a double helical structure is made up of monomeric amino acids.

What molecule has the shape of a double strand helix?

DNA, and the shape is also known as a double helix.

Where is Helix located?

In the DNA. The term "double helix" refers to the structure of DNA.

Which part of DNA is double helix?

The whole DNA strand is a double helix.

What is Watson and Crick's DNA model?

DNA is a double helix made of two strands linked together with hydrogen bonds.

what is the shape of a DNA?

double helix

What is the scientific term for the shape of the DNA strand?

The name of the shape of DNA is called double helix. There are two long strands of DNA connected in several points. These strands twist and look like a spiral or a spring.

What is a double helix DNA or RNA?

Both DNA and RNA can exist in the double helix form, but only DNA is completely stable as a double helix. The double helix RNA is usually only short "hairpin" sections folding back on itself, never the long essentially linear form of double helix DNA.

How does the DNA helix relate to DNA?

It is how the DNA is constructed.

What is the term used to describe the shape of DNA?

DNA is organized in a double-helix fashion.

What shape is DNA?

DNA is a double helix, or a twisted ladder.
