What is the average high school GPA to get into UC Irvine?

There isn't really a set GPA requirements. Generally, UC Irvine will look at all aspects, past GPA, like your SAT/ACT score, community service, school involvement, and other activities such as sports. It helps to have a high GPA, but really there is no bare minimum because honestly, it's hard to compare GPAs between schools, since each school does it differently. I would say if you held mostly a B and A average throughout high school, you have a great chance.

of course, the minimum GPA to get into Riverside is 3.0 but many apply there as a backup school so their GPA might be even greater than 3.0. Therefore, it is always better to have a high GPA. In 2010, the freshman enrollment average GPA was 3.56 so I think if you have 3.4 or higher than you do have a higher chance. However, they would also look at your extracurriculars and work stuff too so don't give up hope.

Minimum is 3.0 that honestly doesn't mean much as i just talked to my friend about it, the average student GPA there is much much higher.
