5 years. i bought a 2002 explorer in 2007 3 months later the transmission goes, right after the warranty runs out it cost me $3,500 dollars out of my pocket. i bought it from a ford dealer. after that nothing but other repair es one after another. the worst buy of my life, i must have put 6 to 7 thousand dollar in the past 3 years i have owned it. unless ford gives me a free car i will never buy a ford again and i will never recommend one.
