Salmon could range greatly in price given its species and location. If salmon is purchased in the desert, it could be up to 10-12 dollars for a single fillet. If near the harbor where they are fished, conversely, it would be no more than 5 dollars for the same size fillet.

It depends on the time of year, the type of salmon, where it is from and if it is farm raised or wild. Wild will almost always be more expensive. The best salmon I ever tasted was salmon from the Copper River in Alaska.
