I made this reaction in a lab.

you may get Na2SO3 ( sodium sulphite)

and when you heat this product the final

product will be Na2S2O3 (sodium tiosulphate)

Just like every other acid-base reaction, you have an acid (in this case, ethanoic acid -- incidentally, writing H3C-COOH is far, far clearer...) and a base (NaOH). The acid donates a proton (H+) to the base (OH-) which accepts it. The product is thus HOH -- i.e. water -- and a salt; in this case, sodium ethanoate.
