I'm assuming you mean the conducting bar or blade on an electrical switch (disconnect). The smaller switches for 600V and under often use copper. Larger switches that electrical utilities use can be copper or aluminum. The aluminum blades usually have hardened copper ends on them where they connect into the jaw end. With high copper prices, new switches may be using different metals.
