The difference between a conductor and a insulator is that a conductor tries to keep the warmness away and the insulator tries to keep the warmness in. An insulator is like an refrigerator, and mabey a cooler so when you go hiking it keeps the coolness inside or keeps the warmness inside!!:-)<3

A conductor is something that gives off heat or electricity

Example: Wood , Metal , etc.

A insulator is something that keeps heat or electricity inside of it

Example: Wool, Cotton, or a blanket, etc.
Conductors attract Heat and coldness like metal. Insulators help hold heat in sort of like wood or insulation

conductors have a large amount of free electrons and less resistance which allows them to conduct electricity.

an insulator on the other hand has less number of free electrons and provides a huge resistance to the flow of electrons thereby stopping the flow of current.

Does plastic transfer heat easily?

Basic Answer:Electrical insulators do not conduct electricity and are are typically among the poorer heat conductors.Good electrical conductors are metals and metals are typically very good heat conductors.Complicated Answer:The term "insulator" is hardly appropriate in reference to thermal conductivity if one means to say that the material has low thermal conductivity. The difference between good thermal conductor and poor thermal conductors is a factor of perhaps a hundred or for extremely different materials such as air (very poor) and diamond (excellent) is a factor of 100,000. That is modest compared to the difference between poor conductors (rubber) and excellent (copper) which is a factor of a billion billion billion. The connection between good heat conductors and good electrical conductors is a reliable but not a law of nature. Good electrical conductors are good thermal conductors due to the fact that electrons participate in both processes. Nearly free electrons are the reason metals are electrical conductors and contribute a large part of the thermal conductivity. (Diamonds are a peculiar exception.)The connection between poor electrical conductors and poor thermal conductivity is less good and really only a consequence that the electrons are not there to help out.

What is the basic difference between speech and written communication?

Speech communication involves the verbal exchange of information through spoken words, while written communication conveys messages through written text. Speech is immediate and allows for real-time interaction, while written communication offers a permanent record that can be referenced later. Both forms have their own strengths and weaknesses in terms of clarity, tone, and audience engagement.

Compare conductor and insulator?

Conductors and insulators are different and simalar in many ways. Two ways they are simallar are they both have electrons and have something to do with electricity.Three ways they are different that conductors let heat and electricity go through it .On the other hand insulators do not let heat or electreicity go through it easily.Another way is conductors transfer eelectrons easily but meanwhile the insulator psses on electrons with difficulty. One last thing is that conductors are not current but insulators are current. What is the difference between applied research and action research?

Applied research focuses on solving practical problems through the application of existing knowledge and theories, while action research involves engaging stakeholders in identifying issues, taking action, and reflecting on the outcomes to drive change and improvement. Action research is more collaborative, participatory, and iterative compared to applied research.
