I have .50 cal mounted on my RG, hopefully this is helpfull. I put the majority of my ammo on the duke mount, it has a great housing that covers the whole duke so you don't have to worry about overheating. For a while a had additional ammo in the rear with my dismounts. I didn't like the ammo so far from my gunner so I modified a couple of the litter bars and put a piece of plywood on top of them. Now all of my ammo, pyro, batteries, and whatever else is easily accesible. It also created storage space for assault bags under the litter carriers. I always keep my CLS bag under the radio mount as well as a box of MRE's and a case of water. The outer sponson boxes are another great storage area for class I, III, and IX. Don't put sensitive items in them though, if you hit a large IED your boxes will go flying to the four winds. Also, the RG 31 has a nice litter holder built into the outside, don't use it, 550 cord you litter to the side of the truck where your gunner can get to it and cut it down quickly. Hope this helps...
