The executive branch plays an essential role in the U.S. government. For one, the branch consists of the President and his cabinet. In addition to being the commander in chief, the President also has to uphold the supreme law of the land, which is the constitution. The executive branch also monitors both the legislative and judicial branches through a system called checks and balances.
President and advisors. It acts as part of the system of checks and balances within the three branches of government. Without it, we also would not be able to make as quick decisions as necessary, due to Congressional "lag time" - a delay in how long it takes for Congress to debate things, and also for how long it takes for those decisions to take effect. He (the President) also serves as the Commander in Chief, so he is our primary military head.
In the United States, the Executive branch consists of the President, Vice President, and the President's Cabinet, or advisors. In the United States, Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the President and Vice President, respectively. The President's greatest power comes as commander-in-chief, with the power to control the military and go to war with permission of Congress. He (or she) can also nominate Supreme Court judges as well as Executive officials with the consent of the Senate. The President can also grant pardons (excuse another individual from the consequences of a crime that said person has been convicted of). The President can choose also to sign or not sign a bill to become a law, but his descision can be overriden by a 2/3 vote in Congress opposing the President's wishes.
The Vice President advises the President when making decisions. He or she also becomes President if the President resigns or dies while still in office.
In the United States, the balance of powers and separate branches give the President very few exclusive privelages. Most decisions are made only with permission from Congress.
The role of the Executive branch is that this branch enforces the laws passed by congress!!!
No role. There are 3 branches of government. The Execuitive, the legislative, and the judicial branche. The Judicial branch of government handles the courts,

The major function of the US Executive Branch is to carry out the laws and run the government.
Basically, the legislative branch is supposed to make the laws, the executive branch is supposed to enforce the laws, and the judicial branch is supposed to interpret the laws.

The three branches of government are the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch, and the Judicial Branch. You'll have to do the rest of your homework yourself.
