Good Relationships! Some people would say that having good relationships is what life is all about. I would also say that it is the main ingrediant of contentment. There are many characteristics of a good relationship. First of all, I would consider that having similar lifestyles and values would be of great help. For most of us live in our own private reality, our own personal way of looking at the world and of dealing with it. Secondly, I would consider that when two people share their lives, they need to learn how to resolve their differences. They need to be able to voice their opinion and then learn to listen to their partner's opinion. But thirdly, and most importantly, they must find ways - after they've had their say - to offer a compromise, look for a "tit for tat" solution, which means that if you will do this, I will do the other. Of course, in today's society, compromises have become more difficult because we have so many more choices. But, no matter how many choices, it is only when we we allow a constant "give and take" that we make a good relationship possible.
There is no other principle needed other than mutual UNDERSTANDING...if one understands the other and adjusts with the other it will make their frndship worthy and long lasting..........!!!
